Locum people is young and growing fast, and we want to recruit people who will grow with us, in a fast-paced and stimulating environment.

Often, hospitals don’t have the time and resources to undertake their own recruitment. So they come to us, and we match our database of doctors to their requirements, and provide them with fully qualified temporary doctors to support their full-time medical staff.

Our team includes resourcers, who find new doctors to add to our database; consultants who manage relationships with the hospitals and match locums to vacancies; and specialists, including compliance officers ensuring that our doctors meet General Medical Council and NHS standards.

At Locum People we start by matching you to your friendly recruitment consultant and finding our your wants and needs from your next position. This can be done over a cup of tea in our office or over the phone, whichever you prefer. Once we have established this our knowledgeable compliance team will help you get together all the documents needed, making the process as simple as possible. We then find the right position for your preferences and will be there every step of the way.

We do not act as a sponsor, but we do work closely with an external company who can advise your visa needs.

As Brexit brings major changes across the UK, please be rest assured that we can help guide you through these changes. EU Citizens living in and outside of the UK wanting to work or travel freely in the UK, will require a Visa by June 2021. You can see further guidance on this on the GOV website: https://www.gov.uk/transition
If you need any further assistance, we are happy to help. Please email us on compliance@nationallocums.co.uk or give us a call on 01908 776477.

There is a career ladder for everyone from junior resourcer and consultant to team leader and principal consultant, benchmarked with individual goals and linked to a salary + bonus + benefits package.

In short, the harder you work and the more successful you are, the greater the rewards, not just in terms of pay, but also the job satisfaction of being part of a great team.

We have a comprehensive CPD, training and employee support package, geared to each individual’s talents, including access to the REC Certificate of Recruitment Practice and external sales courses.

You should expect – but don’t always get – a busy, buzzy office when you come to work in the morning. But its a given for people working at Locum People. Bright, open plan offices, plenty of greenery, witty artwork on the walls and a break-out area. Plus one or two industry-leading surprises – like a fully equipped fitness room and even a pub that houses a pool table, air hockey, table tennis, arcade machine with over 2000 retro games and a PS4 (and always the latest copy of Fifa).

It sums up our ‘work hard, play hard’ attitude. Our people enjoy their work and surroundings, and experience shows it delivers real results for the business.

For a recruitment consultant the career progression is clear from day one. We publish a set of targets you will need to hit for your next promotion. We offer the kind of training, support and personal development programmes to ensure that the career of each individual is as good as it can possibly be.

As a framework agency, we follow NHS Employers guidance for our reference requirements.
